Objectives of the position:

The role is responsible for coordinating all relevant topics between the German multinational and its Tunisian partner company. This position requires strong all‑round capabilities, combining expertise in procurement, production and relocation, logistics, and advising on joint‑venture matters, together with intercultural competence, linguistic fluency, and strong management skills. The successful candidate will serve as the central point of contact for multiple areas, including production planning, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, management, the partner company’s sales organization, external logistics providers, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central interface between the German multinational, the Tunisian partner, and relevant authorities; responsible for coordinating and resolving administrative and regulatory issues.
  • Coordinate and manage projects, sourcing activities, and where applicable production processes, production planning, and bidirectional supply chains.
  • Ensure quality, on-time delivery, and cost control across all process steps.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to management in Germany.
  • Identify and assess opportunities and risks in the project and sourcing environment.
  • Support corporate law topics, particularly in connection with joint-venture structures.
  • Advise and support German management on cultural, linguistic, and business aspects in Tunisia.
  • Promote cross-site collaboration through training, workshops, and team development.

 

Industrialization & Ramp-up:

  • Take overall responsibility for the industrialization, start‑up, and ramp‑up of all relocated products.
  • Lead the know‑how transfer process.
  • Define and monitor ramp‑up KPIs (e.g., first‑pass yield, scrap, rework, and delivery performance).
  • Establish release and hold/block logic for part and technology transfers.

 

Interface with Quality:

  • Act as the point of contact to the Head of Quality Management and the QA/QC organization.
  • Drive quality planning (e.g., APQP methodology), initial sampling/PPAP, and series release.
  • Escalate and manage quality deviations as needed.

  

External Consulting:

  • Define the use of external consulting as a tool.
  • Hold decision authority on when external expertise is required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production relocations, international sourcing, and project & production management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes, ideally including experience in ceramics/porcelain production and relevant quality standards.
  • Familiarity with Tunisian culture, language (French and/or English), and business practices.
  • Very good understanding of German corporate culture and proficient German language skills (required).
  • Experience working with international partners—ideally in Tunisia— with strong intercultural communication skills.
  • Proven stakeholder-management experience.
  • Affinity for production and trading topics and a good understanding of international supply chains.
  • Basic knowledge of corporate law and joint-venture structures is an advantage.
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, and decisiveness.

  • Experience building and developing teams, including recruitment and on-site people leadership.
  • Intercultural competence, strong communication skills, and assertiveness.
  • Ability to align differing interests and moderate across cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong change-management and coaching skills to support site build-up and organizational development.
