Principal responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the operational management of the production site in Tunisia.
- Ensuring productivity, quality, cost control, and delivery reliability.
- Establishing and developing the production organization (cutting, assembly, packaging) to ensure the highest production standards.
- Leading and developing the production, technical, quality and logistics teams
- Implementing productivity and quality methods (Lean Manufacturing, SMV/IE, Kaizen, 5S).
- Introducing and monitoring quality standards (AQL, guidelines, work instructions)
- Responsibility for personnel planning, management, and development (including training programs).
- Budget and investment planning, as well as continuous cost and performance optimization.
- Cooperating with the German head office regarding planning, reporting, and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with legal requirements in occupational safety, environmental protection, and labor law.
- Motivating employees in line with the company’s corporate mission.
- Representing the company to local authorities, partners and trade unions.
Qualifications and Required Skills:
- Degree in clothing technology, production engineering, industrial engineering or a related field.
- Several years of management experience (5–10 years) in industrial clothing production (knitted fabrics), ideally in North Africa, either managing a production facility or working as a travelling technician for international production sites.
- In-depth knowledge of sewing processes, line organization, industrial engineering (SMV) and quality management.
- Experience in the implementation and management of Lean/CIP methods.
- Strong problem-solving and implementation skills with a proactive approach to improvement, high resilience, and assertiveness.
- Leadership skills with intercultural sensitivity and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Structured, solution-oriented approach to work with a focus on continuous process optimization.
- Management experience in Europe.
- Business-fluent language skills in French and/or Arabic, fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Willingness to travel between Tunisia and the German headquarters.
