Marketing and Communication Manager

On behalf of one of its multinational member companies, the AHK Tunisia is recruiting the profile of ‘Marketing and Communication Manager’.

Department : General Management

Working relationships: (Hierarchical, functional and external) The Marketing and Communication Manager reports hierarchically to the Managing Director. He/she works with the sales teams, customer service, the press, communications agencies and Group entities.

He/she maintains relations with the media, customers, strategic partners and organisations involved in trade events and exhibitions.

General duties of the post : 

The role of the Marketing and Communications Manager is to promote the company's image by coordinating Communications activities, in particular the organisation of events and relations with the press.

The aim is to support the Communications strategy by working with the sales teams, strengthening the presence of the Group's brands and partners via content and events and maintaining key relationships with the media, customers and Group entities, in particular the Marketing Department at head office.

Description of significant activities:

The significant activities are as follows:

Helping to organise internal and external events, such as meetings, seminars and customer events, in conjunction with the HR department.
Organising trade fairs in accordance with the schedule drawn up by management, in conjunction with the sales teams and subsidiaries.
Drafting and distributing various documents (minutes, confidential notes, structured presentations, business cards, business intelligence, etc.).
To produce the required reports within the given deadlines.
Taking charge of the logistical organisation of internal and external events and meetings (booking hotels, rooms, meals, etc.).
Promoting the company's image via various channels (website, social networks, press and media) and ensuring the associated documentary updates.
Coordinating relations with the press, organising interviews and writing articles.
Participate in the promotion of products and services by providing information to internal teams and drafting various documents and/or presentations, including the Group's standards.
Coordinating showroom activities for customer visits as required (open days, customer events, etc.).
Preparing the communications budget and media plan and monitoring associated expenditure.
Take responsibility for drafting correspondence relating to social events.
Ensure that the website is updated and kept up to date.
Promote the Group's solutions and services.


Responsibilities and scope for action:

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for promoting the company's image internally and externally, by coordinating Communications and Marketing activities. He/she has a certain amount of freedom in the creation of content and the management of communication tools, while being bound by the guidelines defined by management and the Group.

He/she is also responsible for monitoring relations with the press, events organised by the company and social media management.

Education and training:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing; digital marketing; or similar.

- At least 3 years' experience in a similar position.

- Experience in a multinational company would be an advantage.

Qualities and skills required :

The Marketing and Communications Manager must have a thorough understanding of communications strategies, marketing tools and market trends.

Strong writing and content creation skills are required, as well as expertise in managing social media and press relations.

The manager must be geographically mobile and available to travel.

A working knowledge of communications tools is also essential, as is a mastery of data analysis and performance indicators.

Finally, an awareness of the regulatory aspects of communications and the ability to work as part of a team are important assets for this job.

Good knowledge of the different cultures of North Africa. Excellent command of English and French.
