Objectives of the position:
The role is responsible for delivering efficient and high-quality RFQ services. The Technician (RFQ) is responsible for the management and development of new and existing products. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet customer needs, quality standards, and company goals. The primary objective of this role is to serve as a link between sales and operations, ensuring a solution that meets customer needs, is cost-effective, and supports the LHS strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- RFQ and Customer Specifications:
- Run the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process in collaboration with sales and manufacturing sites.
- Accurately process and translate customer specifications into actionable plans.
- Product Design and Approval:
- Creation and approving Bill of Materials (BOM), drawings, and specifications with customers
- Define preferred components and integrate them into designs
- Active communication with the customer technical / planning team and other stakeholders (internal and external)
- Unify master data and manage new material introductions.
- Product Optimization and change process:
- Drive product optimization through value-added and value-engineered approaches
- Manage change processes during the product's serial life
- Serve as the technical counterpart in the complaints process.
- Design Tools and Maintenance:
- Ensure effective use and maintenance of design tools
- Maintain a unified internal calculation tool.
- Maintain harnessing configurators.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical support for high-touch projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical or mechanical engineering or comparable qualification or other technical education.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering and familiarity with OEM machinery and equipment manufacturers.
- Solution-oriented mindset and focus on the implementation of tasks. Experience and knowledge from Automotive industry is an advantage.
- Fluent English skills (C1 or higher) with technical background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience from similar positions.
- Knowledge of low voltage connection technologies
- Previous experience with harnessing production is an advantage
- Strong interest in understanding and providing customer-specific solutions and act in customer interface.
- Experience working with2D CAD software (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.) as a must
- Experience in reading and understanding technical documentation and drawings.
- CEA design software experience as an advantage (EPLAN, Zuken, WSCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.).
