Main Mission
The Department Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient, qualitative, and timely management of a defined manufacturing area while complying with internal and external standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily production operations to ensure smooth processes and achievement of production targets.
- Ensure production schedules are met in terms of quantity, quality, and deadlines.
- Lead and coordinate shift leaders and support team development through coaching and training.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs such as output, scrap, OEE, and productivity, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and Lean/KVP activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (International Automotive Task Force, International Organization for Standardization) and support audits.
- Secure material availability and optimize machinery and equipment utilization.
- Oversee maintenance planning and TPM activities.
- Lead production-related projects and support new product introductions (SOP).
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Profile
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong hands-on mentality and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and KPI management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with quality standards such as IATF and ISO.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
