Objectives of the position:
The Project Purchaser Harnessing Solutions is responsible for sourcing materials and components for cable and harnessing solutions. Supports Product Engineering, ensures technical alignment, and drives cost-effective supplier performance. Manages supplier relationships and procurement processes to secure quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide fast technical clarification and RFQ management by ensuring timely quotations while guaranteeing material availability to effectively support production, engineering, and sales.
- Source materials that meet technical standards and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Increase coverage of customer needs by leveraging a suitable supply base and market intelligence
- Introduce opportunities for new products and solutions
- Optimize material costs and ensure procurement efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Technical or commercial degree.
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Excellent knowledge of project business, harnessing scales, and related processes.
- Fluent English skills (C1 or higher); German is considered an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the cables or harnessing industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of cables, connectors, wiring systems, and harnessing solutions.
